Welcome to 2023
As 2023 begins , I took some time today to organize some supplies and I made time to also begin to organize my thoughts. I want to move into this calendar year with good intentions.
Being as it is mostly me who updates my social media, website, and manages scheduling events, things can really get overwhelming. Burnout can be avoided if you recognize the signs and make time to recuperate. I have learned to pay more attention to when my body and mind are signaling me to rest.
One of the things I like to do to relax is go outside and walk my dogs. Somedays I take my grandson for a trek through the woods on his sled, taking in the views and enjoying our natural surroundings.
It is also important for me to take time to assess what needs to be done and carefully look through our business to see what is working and what needs work.
Part of what I struggle with is organizational skills. I find decluttering my workspace often helps clear my mind, and focus better as well. With a positive mindset, I am planning on sticking to my organizer/planner this time around. Managing my time properly is one of my goals , because our time is thee most precious thing we have.
That being said, I look forward to the new calendar year, as it brings more possibilities and work doesn’t seem to be slowing down at all. The new year for me begins when the spring comes so midwinter is really a good time to slow down and contemplate the future.
I would like to also take the time to say Miigwech to my patrons , who have purchased original artwork, or merchandise from me or my website, I would not be able to do it with out you! I would also like to extend a big Thank you to Aaron Tank & The Vessel Newspaper for the feature.
